  • A business selling, renting, producing, or providing contract manufacturing for entertainment-related CDs, videos, video discs, DVDs, or digital video discs
  • A business selling gemstones or jewelry set with gemstones
  • A business buying or selling goods or services electronically via the internet
  • Music-listening services
  • Gaming machine services

 

Who Is Required to Register?

First, determine whether your store or business meets the criteria for commercial registration. The Department of Business Development, Ministry of Commerce, classifies those required to register into five categories:

 

  • Individual (sole proprietor)
  • Ordinary partnership
  • Foreign legal entity establishing a branch office in Thailand
  • Registered ordinary partnership / limited partnership
  • Limited company / public limited company

 

Note: Business owners must apply for commercial registration within 30 days of starting business operations.
